4 identical blocks of hardwood Kempas timber joined only by 2" accurate cut dowels with custom made groove holes requires enhanced precision and a separate 17 kilo block to generate enough force to fuse the blocks together with the customized dowels. The result is an intense process, and an unbelievably strong construction that is unlike any coffee table ever created. The customized groove edges that holds the bamboo can be easily removed and replaced with Japanese lantern paper, or even timber stickers for a fresh look whenever needed.

The use of alternative materials on Daybreak such as custom made 8mm thick clear tempered glass with bevelled edges ensures safety throughout its lifespan as well as to provide a spirit-checked super-flat surface that is easy to clean. The glass also provides an aerial view of the bamboo that provides a sense of calm by inviting an ordered sense of disorderly. Hidden under-lights reflect through the bamboo, generating a renewed sense of freshness with a playful light, shadow, and texture combination, as well as to provide illumination for the surrounding area. Both sides of the table incorporates a 140x140x200mm storage space for coasters, ash trays or remote controllers.
